Ask us a question

Describe a time where you have helped someone else to realise their full potential.

How you interact with others can tell a prospective employer a lot about you and whether you’d be the right fit for a role.

We asked top employers to divulge one of the interview questions they pose to job applicants. Multinational company Unilever stepped up and shared a question on that can be used for various jobs.

Our students tackled the question headfirst as Nicolas Chu, (Professor of Practice at UNSW Business School, Founder & CEO of Sinorbis) Christina Chun, (Entrepreneur, Director at Walker Advisory) and Blair Slater (UNSW's Head of Student Academic & Career Success), gave us their feedback.

Take a look at their responses, and what employers are really looking for when you answer this question.

Grow your career opportunities through studying with UNSW. Our graduates are in demand* because we set up our students for professional success. Our finger is on the pulse of what today’s employers are looking for in you when you graduate.

How can you be sure of your employability with a degree from UNSW?

The proof is in our rankings. UNSW graduates are some of the most sought-after in their fields. We rank 5th in Australia in the Graduate Outcomes Survey*. The median salary for our graduates is higher than any other Group of Eight University (Go8) undergraduate salaries, showing employers see the value in UNSW graduates.

It's because we give you the practical skills employers are looking for and prepare you for the workplace from day one, working closely with industry and UNSW Careers.

Master employability from the outset - from understanding lifelong learning and how it can help your career, to really knowing yourself so that you can make the best study and career choices. When it comes to employability, UNSW has you covered.
