Welcome to Goodbye High School, Hello Uni, a podcast series presented by UNSW Sydney and Student Edge that talks to real students about the real experiences on their journey to university.

In this series we explore what the world looks like after high school and how you can create your own path of discovery. The jump from high school to uni may seem daunting at times, so we’ve bought together students who’ve made the leap and thrived, to tell you about their experiences.

On this podcast episode, you’ll meet Bachelor of Design and Bachelor of Psychology student, Jenni Tyler. Together with Caitlin from Student Edge, Jenni shares why mental health and wellbeing is such an important topic for young people and how her studies at UNSW have helped her take part in the conversation.

Jenni chose a unique double degree majoring in Psychology and Fine Arts to fulfill her desire to use art as a medium to discuss and promote mental health and wellbeing. Jenni explains how the resources at UNSW have helped her arm herself with the knowledge to take part in this important discussion. We’ll also chat about the unexpected success she found on TikTok after a post on mental health went viral.

Sit back, pop your headphones on and get ready to be inspired.

At UNSW we create the space for you to discover your uniqueness. We believe uni is where you begin to unearth what makes you tick. If you have a desire for discovery, bring it. Because the world needs you.
