What’s the 2021 short courses scheme?

In 2021, the Australian Government is providing additional short course CSPs across a range of postgraduate short courses. The scheme aims to support more people to undertake higher education to upskill and retrain as job-ready graduates in economic growth areas.

UNSW is offering a range of Graduate Certificates under the scheme across study areas in Business, Engineering, Science, Medicine, Teaching and more.

What does it mean for me?

  • Eligible students can defer student fees through HECS-HELP, meaning you may have no upfront fees
  • Update your qualifications in just six to eight months
  • Studying a Graduate Certificate will update your knowledge, increase your employment opportunities or help you transition into a new field
  • Gain a pathway to further postgraduate study. Upon completion, recognised courses can reduce the time it takes to complete a Master’s degree.
